Clinical Biostatistics Course
Professionals of statistics play a critical role in planning and conducting clinical trials in drug development, and work alongside medical and pharmaceutical experts. Biostatisticians are experts of clinical trial methodology, who have discipline of statistics.
This course is a two-year, postgraduate, and professional degree program, which will equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to function as biostatisticians. Upon completion, students will receive a Master of Public Health (MPH)* degree. We welcome students interested in data science and statistics, regardless of whether they have a health science background.
*The internationally recognized MPH degree signifies that the holder has successfully completed a one- or two-year professional program at a graduate school of public health.

From Kyoto Station:
There will be a 20 to 30 minutes taxi ride from Kyoto Station (fare: approximately 2000 yen). Ask to be taken to the “Shiran Kaikan Hall” of Kyoto University School of Medicine. Exit the taxi at the North Gate (Kita Mon), and enter the campus. The third building on the right is the Science Frontier Laboratory that houses our facilities.
The travel time by Kyoto City Bus is approximately one hour (fare: 230 yen). Go to the “D2” stop of Kyoto Station bus terminal, take Bus Line No. 206 (destination: Kitaoji Bus Terminal via Higashiyama St.), and exit at “Kyodai Seimon Mae”. Walk approximately 20 meters south, along Higashiooji Dori Street. After crossing at the traffic lights, take the street running diagonally to the right (formerly called Shirakawa Michi) to arrive at the North Gate of the Faculty of Medicine Campus (the gate is adjacent to Shiran Kaikan). The third building from the gate, on the right, is the Science Frontier Laboratory.
